Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have got a few suggestions how The Boeing Company could improve the interior and the onboard services of the Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental...
a) Air Dominance Package: all passengers can get all information from the flight deck displays on their seat-infotainment display (e.g. GPS-screens, engine data or flight-monitor) - this is nothing new, already the passengers of the Concorde have got the Mach-indicator and the altitude displayed... This information should take away or at least lessen the travellers' fear of flight - you can watch that everything is proceeding perfectly... (additional consciousness and control)
b) Incredible Interior Package: wood and carpets on the floor, leather headrests and a tasteful gold-band on the luggage bins - the interior of the iconic Jumbo Jet should mirror the quality of the Boeing aircraft and it should provide with a touch of the really very popular Boeing Business Jets as well... Maybe the operators and the passengers of the Boeing aircraft also want to enjoy the same luxury as BBJ customers - because of the traditions and the reputation of The Boeing Company...
c) Personality Package: Google-YouTube, Facebook or Windows Live and other internet services on all seat displays - you don't want to denounce of your everyday comfort, work and life-style onboard an airplane either, do you? Oh, yes: you would also like to have a USB-socket for your iPod and/or Pen Drive, electricity for your laptop computer and a printing and scanning service onboard - welcome home! (Aircraft security is another question of software engineering...) Mere survival in the skies is not enough any more...
Airlines that are still not interested in the Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental with all the above features are cheating...
