Raining Cats And Dogs

Ladies and Gentlemen,

After lots of self-research I'm trying to assemble a list about how you can recognize a "cat-person..." Most often it is far too late to recognize a cat-person but at least you cannot say that I didn't warn you...

a) self-critics, self-digesting and self-pity,
b) a person rather goes to bed with a bottle of sleeping pills than with others,
c) empathy,
d) a person likes rain and fog,
e) the sudden change of moods,
f) love for the catwalk,
g) interest for psychology and altruism,
h) love for speed,
i) you want to bite him or her,
j) an increased heart-rate and blood-pressure,
k) a good sense of humor,
l) continuous and honest smiling or being creative...

Or: being a gourmet...

Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental - Zero Visibility

Ladies and Gentlemen,

"Zero visibility" is an occurrence that pilots are trained for and it is very essential that they can also land an aircraft only according to the instruments at very bad weather conditions... However I think that you shouldn't accept "zero visibility" so simply and it could contribute to aviation security if airplanes and airports, respectively were visible to the naked eye, too...

Let's see 3 methods of making airplanes and airports visible:

1) There are some spotlights on every airplane already but they could be perhaps much stronger, too... Nowadays LED-lights are fashionable because they are energy-efficient and reliable... I would use leaser-lights instead: they could light up the landscape kilometers before the airplane and they could make the airplane visible, too from the same distance...

2) Night-vision... On the many displays of modern glass cockpits the image of a long-range infra-red camera could also appear if necessary... One of the pilots could navigate based on the instruments and the other one could watch the night-vision display...

3) Satellite images (I mean live and real-time images) of airports could be also used both by airport towers and by airplanes for a better navigation... High-resolution satellite videos could extend the security provided by traditional radar systems...

Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental - 21st Century Colors

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Perhaps the Sunrise Livery of the Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental was not the first new color of The Boeing Company... I think at least that Boeing and pop art match each other...

NASA - Competition With China

Ladies and Gentlemen,

ISS that embodies the cooperation among the space agencies of the USA, Russia, the European Union and Japan has become too obvious by today...

The new superpower China is undertaking space missions and research alone - although we know that cooperation is much more secure and efficient in this delicate area of science than competition... So I think the space agencies of the USA, Russia, the European Union and Japan should plan their space missions and research after ISS and 2020, respectively together with China and not without...

It's only an idea...

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG E-Cell

Ladies and Gentlemen,

An electric car can be so exciting... Ideal for the city and then the sprint homewards... The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG E-Cell is powerful because its electric engines are powerful and because it is absolutely clean - so nothing makes the car weaker and nothing holds you back from driving...

Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental - Out Of The Blue

Ladies and Gentlemen,

While I'm having some major success in my private life (I mean I can remember back on my huge happiness in love in the '90s after 19 years of oblivion) Air China have finalized orders for 5 firm Boeing 747-8 Intercontinentals with The Boeing Company...

I think the 2 achievements belong together: my therapy and the little bit of contribution to the sells of this marvelous airliner... Happiness in love means being able to work and working means being able to love... And what's more I am even faithful...

Best wishes, Joseph de la Mikula and Team

Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental - This Airplane

Ladies and Gentlemen,

For example on the website of The Boeing Company or on the websites of airlines you very often can read news releases like that: "This airplane is a milestone for Boeing because..." or "This airplane is a milestone for Lufthansa..."

The point is that an airplane is really so important:

1) it connects major city pairs just like a highway - however this highway in the skies can be 15,000 kms long,
2) it connects major city pairs just like a highway - however the top speed on this highway is over 900 km/h,
3) during its life-time of 30 years an airliner can carry millions of passengers - for that capacity even a Jumbo Jet is relatively affordable...

So airplanes can actually determine the future of entire countries, economies and cultures...

Abort To Orbit

Ladies and Gentlemen,

After so many years of waiting the VW Golf 7 is here - and it is 100 kgs lighter than its predecessor... The Mercedes-Benz B 200 NGD runs up to 500 kms on natural gas (16% less CO2-emissions) - from its sandwich-floor...

Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental - And Friends

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Airbus have just released their Current Market Outlook - it seems to be more optimistic and monumental than that of The Boeing Company earlier this year... To me predictions about very large aircraft and the change of rhetoric to a much friendlier voice appeal the most:

"Over 1,700 Very Large Aircraft (VLA - 400 seats and above) like the A380 will have been delivered by 2031, valued at US$600 billion. Of these over 1,330 are passenger aircraft valued at some US$500 billion (13 percent by value of passenger deliveries, 5 percent of units). Asia Pacific leads demand (46 percent) for these high capacity aircraft, followed by the Middle East (23 percent) and Europe (19 percent)." (Airbus)

46% + 23% + 19% = 88% That means the rest of the world (for example North America and Africa) are not going to be important markets for very large aircraft... I think this prediction is a little bit wrong... VFA (very fast aircraft) are missing in the Current Market Outlook of Airbus, too...

Applied Folklore

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Except for so called "glass engines" that make the internal happenings of a combustion engine visible there is very big darkness for example underneath the pistons... In everyday language you say about dark places where oil is dropping into a trough that things can be stolen (an aspect of danger)...

If objects can be stolen it means that they are not fixed properly... Engines must experience a big internal energy loss because of the loose and insecure connections of the crankshaft with the pistons...

However if there was some light in the downer part of combustion engines, too then it could strenghten the connections... You call a place where objects cannot be stolen freedom...

We know from elsewhere that energy can be gained from freedom... And in fact, if the up and down moving pistons add waves to the light then the light is going to contain more energy - that's what you call delight...

Swedish Goes

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am proudly presenting the Zeus Twelve, a new luxury car label by Gray Design... The sportive limousines and coupés are obviously made out of Mansory, Maybach and Saab... Pictures: German car magazine Auto Motor und Sport...

My question: what comes instead of British Rover?

(A little bit of correction: Saab are planning to produce electric cars... September 4th 2012, source: ams)
