During the development of an individuum it faces both happiness and troubles - and you can learn from everything... It is also true that you have to survive in a continously changing world, plus sustain a family and make yourself as useful as possible...
So I think it is already an achievement to get older and to work through 70 or 80 years... I am getting older, too and I have to say that I have experienced already so many wonders that I am longing for space travel... Probably more and more people will reach this state of consciousness based on the heritage of mankind - as I already wanted to be an astronaut when I was a boy...
