Democracy In The Age Of The Internet

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Recently I have heard in the radio a very interesting theory about the effect of the internet on democracies... The essence was that by the internet the population of a country has got much more information about everything than ever before in history... Therefore people can take part in the process of making political decisions much more often and much more directly than ever before...

I think the above must be true and it is also exciting but I would like to add that you still need even in the age of internet:

a) experts (political or scientific),
b) team-work (for a better quality of opinions) and
c) communication (so that no natural or legal person remains alone)...

Finally you want more democracy and you want to be more constructive using computers but you also want to avoid chaos... Hm - the internet is even cost-efficient, quick and environmentally friendly...

Best wishes, Joseph de la Mikula and Team
