Ladies and Gentlemen,
640 kg for the batteries of the Rolls-Royce 102EX with a capacity of 71 kWh may sound frightening for first but we should only have one look at the development of the computer in the past 50 years... Early computers filled rooms and they couldn't do much more than simple pocket calculators nowadays... I suggest the following improvements:
a) electricity storage the iPod way (how much electricity is 160 GB - in such a little space?);
b) mechanical gear-box (affecting on the power train);
c) electric gear-box (affecting on the electric engine)...
However my favourite is "the storage of energy in hydrogen" - probably because I prefer combustion engines a little bit to electric engines...
Best wishes, Joseph de la Mikula and Team
