Ladies and Gentlemen,
Public traffic (for example coaches) is very environmentally friendly but I think it faces the following obstacle:
a) coaches on a tight schedule would mean comfort and capacity - however because of the weak interest for traveling by coach schedules are not that tight yet,
b) the public interest for traveling by coach remains weak - because coaches don't traffic on a tight schedule yet (no comfort and no capacity) but remain in the garage for example...
I think the matter is the same in the case of alternative drive trains:
a) the mass production of hydrogen-fuelled cars would mean low prices and a signal for the industrial hydrogen production to start,
b) however customers are concerned (not because they are undetermined) because of the high prices of the unavailable hydrogen-fuelled cars and because of the not existing industrial production of hydrogen (visions remain visions)...
I think that stately subsidies are o.k. when you are about to establish a new branch of industry with a promising future (such as book-print or railways)...
Best wishes, Joseph de la Mikula and Team
