Ladies and Gentlemen,
The industrial revolution and the reign of citizens started in 1640 because of the invention of the modern weaving machine... Of course, this invention had an effect on fashion and life-style, too: the Barock style appeared with exaggarated clothes consisting of immense quantities of textile and of decoration and even landscapes formed of female hair... These exaggarations can be explained by the happines of people over the endless quantities of textile you can produce... But then when people in Barock outfits realized that they cannot really walk through the door because of their super-sized clothes simpler clothes and a simpler style became fashionable both for men and women...
In England the extasy of gin must have appeared because of the happiness over the spreading of the steam machine: the worker class appeared but they were relatively uneducated and couldn't start anything with their wages that makes a sense... After countless tragedies (even family tragedies) the extasy of gin was replaced by the extasy of soccer - which is a little bit healthier (I am not a soccer fan at all)...
In the 20th Century automobiles appeared and they swamped over the Earth because of the happiness of mankind over individual mobility, exciting travel and a new major value object next to your house... However now that mankind has realized that we cannot drive cars running on crude oil products and breathe at the same time a global change has started in the automobile industry towards fuels from sustainable sources and environmentally friendly and alternative drive trains...
I don't think that the excess of the Airbus A380 can last for ever...
Best wishes, Joseph de la Mikula and Team
