Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental - Express

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Of course, it is very uncomfortable to travel in a sitting position some 12 or 14 hours long... The sitting position is only important for a secure take-off and landing - otherwise you had better lay down and sleep... Business and 1st class passengers can enjoy the comfort of sleeping in a bed - unlike economy class travelers...

The Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental Express offers berths in right angles to the flight direction and on 3 levels - in the middle of the economy class cabin where there are not even windows to enjoy the sight... For a secure take-off and landing the berths can rotate around their axle of suspension - providing with a continously horizontal laying surface that is secure, as well... You could accomodate approx. 90 passengers this way in the middle of the economy class of a Jumbo Jet...

The configuration of the other parts of the airliner could remain conventional...

Best wishes, Joseph de la Mikula and Team
