Enlightment

Ladies and Gentlemen,

"He lived a luxurious life and imagined himself as the center of society": this is the picture that we usually have about Louis 14th in our head... He got his attribute "the King of the Sun" because he danced the role of the Sun in a ballet when he was younger... (Without the barock outfit he is quite an attractive man otherwise...) But what was this ballet all about? In the time of Louis 14th it was a brandnew and revolutionary scientific discovery that the Sun is the center of the Solar System because of the laws of mass attraction - it took many decades to approve and to accept this truth... And then Louis 14th published this scientific achievement in the terms of an unforgetable ballet that means he even combined this discovery with arts: a brilliant mind and a brilliant idea, even if it was not him who composed the ballet...

That is one of the reasons why Louis 14th is an example for me...
