"The Saddest Car In The World Trophy" can be won by cars that are somehow sad on their own or that bring sadness into the world... Some suggestions:
a) Rolls-Royce 102 EX - that is not being built, not even in a limited series,
b) Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II - that still runs on petrol and is a little bit dirty,
c) Mercedes CL-class - the coolest car in the world but it is undiscovered,
d) Aston Martin DB9 - gear-box setting by buttons on the dashboard: decadent,
e) Jaguar XF - gear-box setting by a rotating controler: a copy of Aston Martin,
f) Citroen C6 - large, comfortable, stylish but unsellable,
g) Maserati Quatroporte - it is not mine,
h) Porsche Boxster - ridiculous,
i) Cadillac XTC - unavailable in Europe or
j) Lexus XS 600h - an oldie...
Maybach is for example disqualified - it is not produced any more... Enthousiasts of aviation can create "The Saddest Airplane In The World Trophy", too...
The prices of the winner(s):
a) the love and enthousiasm of people having sympathy,
b) image perk-up by Rankin and
c) being wrapped in by Christo...
