Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental Atrium - The World's Largest Airplane

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Basically the Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental Atrium (or DB) is very similar to the Double Bubble concept airplane: the Boeing 747-8 DB is the addition of 2 Jumbo Jet fuselages with a passenger corridor and many other connecting parts...

Altogether the Boeing 747-8 DB is approx. 10 meters broader than a conventional Jumbo Jet because of the 2nd fuselage and the atrium inside of the new version of the Jumbo Jet... Otherwise the Boeing 747-8 DB has got the same pair of wings and the same engines as every other Boeing 747-8IC...

After being amazed by the Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental Atrium's size and passenger capacity you may wonder how such an aircraft flies... Of course, together everything is easier: the atrium of the Boeing 747-8 DB functions also as a huge kite during the flight providing with additional uplift and increasing fuel-efficiency...

Best wishes, Joseph de la Mikula and Team
