Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental - Totally Old

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The Boeing 747 was featured in the movies Airport 75 and Airport 77 - and I guess the movie Air Force One was nothing but a very special edition of the Airport movies, featuring a Boeing 747, of course... (Otherwise I was born in 1975 - you just cannot imagine that this cutting-edge airliner existed already in the stone-age...)

Mr. Randy Tinseth writes that over the coming 20 years you will need to replace yearly 2 to 2.5 percent of the approx. 20,000 airplanes flying today according to the estimations of The Boeing Company... Boeing sold nearly 1,500 examples of the different variants the 747 Family - however over the coming 20 years you will have to replace all of them... The Boeing 777, the Airbus A380 and the Airbus A350 XWB will not be enough to take the place of the Boeing 747 - which is otherwise a state-of-the-art airliner itself and doesn't have to hide behind any of its competitors...

That's why I think that The Boeing Company should be able to sell approx. 500 examples of the Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental in the coming years... And "replacement" is one of my favourite words nowadays... (In the pictures below: models of the Boeing 747-400, the most successful variant of the 747 Family this far...)

Best wishes, Joseph de la Mikula and Team
