Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental - And Its Replacement The Boeing 777

Ladies and Gentlemen,

As I have read recently the Boeing 777 was originally designed to be the reserve airplane for Boeing 747 type aircraft... If you use the reserve machine in a self-supporting way that is a sign of material weakness and a nest of other problems, too...

If the Boeing 777 can fly 17,000 kms without internal stopping then it is about a unique record-value that the airplane is not meant to perform on a daily basis... A reserve airplane also means that it flies on the same route as the main jet - because the Boeing 747 is under maintenance or the flight is too crowded... If the Boeing 777 is announced as a self-supporting main aircraft many technical costs can be saved and inflight security doesn't seem to be taken seriously... I am not writing about the unquestionable reliability of twin-jets but I am writing about a wealth of jet engines you have to provide with to passengers...

Some not quite so well qualified people misunderstood the expression "replacement" as if the Boeing 777 was there to replace the Boeing 747 for ever and entirely... The Airbus A330 gets abused in a much worse way, serving transatlantic and transcontinental routes instead of the Airbus A340 or Concorde...

In the famous picture: a Boeing 777-200LR landing after a record-setting flight...

Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental - A Bright Future

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Sitting in the very bow of the Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental is a unique experience because the curved side walls allow one to see through a window that is front of you, not next to you... Finally I understand why slanting business or premium economy class seats are so fashionable... Slanting seats allow one to see through a window that is in front of you, not next to you...

(I wonder if panoramic window walls were able to be installed in the sidewalls of aircraft instead of smaller and oval windows... The roof of the airplane could be held by strong pillars and windows could be darkened in an electroluminescent way... This is not possible because glass sidewalls were heavier than walls made of aluminium...)

How Can I Say I'm Sorry

Ladies and Gentlemen,

A couple of years ago I was questioned by Mercedes-Benz if there are possibilities to remote control a car or if there are possibilities to connect popular passenger car and smartphone... Among the few options I found there were parking and remote steering as well - you can accuse me of the new fashion...

It is also true I had never imagined Mercedes-Benz was going to realise my suggestions... Both outer and inner appearance of the new E-class of Mercedes made me try to remember hard, it is such a valuable car...

Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental - Italian Marble

Ladies and Gentlemen,

In some countries (for instance in Western Europe) people live so good that national airlines can only negotiate about a Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental with a 3-class-seating - with the option of installing a couple of Emperor Suits as well... (The Emperor Suits replace the Overhead Space Utilisation...) With a 3-class-seating the Jumbo Jet of Boeing can only compete with the Boeing 777 concerning fuel-efficiency...

If a maximum seating of 605 passengers in a single-class-configuration was allowed by the rules of good manners then the Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental was nearly unbeatable regarding fuel-efficiency...

Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental - A Fast Changing World

Ladies and Gentlemen,

In the past 2 decades there was much development work done at the great aircraft manufacturers of the world... From the Boeing 777 the Boeing 777X could be developed, from the Boeing 747-400 the Boeing 747-8 could be developed and from the Airbus A340 the Airbus A380  could be developed... The Boeing 777X and the Airbus A380 may be more fuel-efficient than the Boeing 747-8...

You can also say that there was a home competition in the Boeing Company... The computer-developed Boeing 777 won over the man-designed Boeing 747... Hereby I would like to warn aircraft engineers that you shouldn't have illusions: to transport a grown-up human being from one place to another costs you some energy and some fuel anyway - you are computing in vain...

Beyond cold-minded reckoning let me be allowed to say that 4 engines symbolically mean world-rulership (just as in case of supersonic Concorde) in the world of aerospace - the Boeing Company and the USA suffered a great-great loss of prestige without the Boeing 747... Of course, the Jumbo Jet of Boeing was also developed for eternity...

Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental - Jumbo Jets Rally In Los Angeles

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Following video trailer is only recommended to those who really enjoy the buzz and the whistle of aircraft jet engines... I don't know why it is but Jumbo Jets of Boeing are still a favourite where prestige is expected...

According to Wikipedia, there were 571 Jumbo Jets of Boeing in service in July 2015 - their replacement cannot happen by over 320 Airbus A380s sold... Boeing can recon with 100 - 200 new orders for the Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental only if you want to replace the Jumbo Jet of Boeing by its updated version...

The Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental is neither the fastest passenger jet of the world, nor it is the largest and nor the most efficient one... But the Jumbo Jet of Boeing is the origo which everything else is measured at... Actually, the Boeing 747 with its many virtues is the point of support for all other large airplanes - without it there would be chaos... Today the Boeing 747 is an example of rational purchasing and utilisation of aircraft - it can be also explained by the character of point of support of this airplane type: the Jumbo Jet of Boeing is very good in everything so it's going to solve all kind of tasks...

Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental - And City Taxis

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I would like to write you about how traveling by taxis was able to be made more attractive... First element of this program is being attractive... A taxi should offer a spacious legroom in the rear, it should be air-conditioned etc. - and it should also offer discounts... For example if you travel each day by taxi to work you would get a discount... If your family uses the services of a taxi company to travel to do the shopping or to travel to school you would get a discount, too...

So we approach the second element of the program... Discounts would make traveling by taxi cheaper and you could enjoy this comfort more and more often... Taxis were more and more in motion increasing incomes of taxi companies... At a point of balance where you travel very much by taxi and taxi companies have lots of assignments you reached that you didn't need to sustain an own car and money flooded to taxi companies... I would compare this balance to space travel and to the 1st cosmic speed...

Until taxi companies (and in a future air travel) reach this grade of popularity you can use all other means of public traffic: train, coach or tram... The effect is the same: you pay hardly anything for a great service and companies of public traffic florish...
