Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental - A Fast Changing World

Ladies and Gentlemen,

In the past 2 decades there was much development work done at the great aircraft manufacturers of the world... From the Boeing 777 the Boeing 777X could be developed, from the Boeing 747-400 the Boeing 747-8 could be developed and from the Airbus A340 the Airbus A380  could be developed... The Boeing 777X and the Airbus A380 may be more fuel-efficient than the Boeing 747-8...

You can also say that there was a home competition in the Boeing Company... The computer-developed Boeing 777 won over the man-designed Boeing 747... Hereby I would like to warn aircraft engineers that you shouldn't have illusions: to transport a grown-up human being from one place to another costs you some energy and some fuel anyway - you are computing in vain...

Beyond cold-minded reckoning let me be allowed to say that 4 engines symbolically mean world-rulership (just as in case of supersonic Concorde) in the world of aerospace - the Boeing Company and the USA suffered a great-great loss of prestige without the Boeing 747... Of course, the Jumbo Jet of Boeing was also developed for eternity...

Best wishes, Joseph de la Mikula and Team
