Ladies and Gentlemen,
The Boeing Company does not look for customers for its aircraft but people at Boeing wait until customers appear with the intention of buying aircraft... The airplanes sold - today 14 Boeing 747-8 Freighters to UPS - create some fame for reliable and revenue making Boeing commercial airplanes based on which further aircraft can be sold... Afterwards Boeing airplanes "also fill in the ditches they dug..."
