Ladies and Gentlemen,
This year, 2 examples of the Boeing 747-8 and 4 examples of the Boeing 767 have been ordered... Is it right to add these numbers? I was collecting a couple of reasons next to addition...
1) technologically thrilling
Possible customers of the Boeing 747-8 may be worried because of the frequented usage of computers on the new Jumbo Jet of Boeing - while the youngest version of the Boeing 747 doesn't contain too many onboard computers, but improvement and development are integrated basically in the design... Derivates of the Boeing 767 like the newly developed tankers of the Air Force or the AWACS air-fortress may frighten away who were interested in the purchase of this classical aircraft...
2) commercial aircraft with the least modified numbers of sales
You don't sell 100 of them into this corner of the world, you don't sell 100 of them as private jets - there are no obvious lies connected to the sales success of these airplanes...
3) commercial aircraft with the greatest tradition
Both the Boeing 747 and the Boeing 767 look back on the longest tradition within the history of The Boeing Company, no young sales management may exist...
4) preferedly freighters
Both the Boeing 747-8 and the Boeing 767 find customers most often as freighters - saving the environment and returning high amounts of revenue...
Best wishes, Joseph de la Mikula and Team
