Ladies and Gentlemen,
Well, clothes don't have a long life anyway - maybe you could even shorten it... For example, clothes can be eaten by moths in a wardrobe or a closet - and even if they contain artificial fibres (artificial silk) this plastic could be modern plastic that decomposes in nature... And of course, there are power plants, too where you burn household debris - but I'm saying sure is sure...
Biologically decomposable clothes had 2 advantages:
a) they could protect the environment and
b) they could protect our fellow-creatures from becoming beggars wearing the used clothes of others...
About the protection of our fellow-creatures I can only say that as far as I can remember I never ever wore used clothes, but only new clothes - and it is good this way... When my clothes get old I try to throw them to the debris instead of presenting them to poorer relatives - despite of the wise advise of my psychiatrist... Somehow, being spoilt and selfish as I am I deem it humiliating to wear clothes from the 2nd-hand-shop... Clothes are approx. our 2nd skin that means our most personal belongings and a part of our personality - you don't want to live the life of others???

Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental - Semi-VIP
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have just read in Randy's Journal that The Boeing Company sold the 1,000th 747 Family aircraft (to Singapore Airlines) in 1993 already... That machine is not yet 20 years old so we can wait for the airlines changing their 747s for new ones...
Otherwise when The Boeing Company is disappointed over the only 136 orders for the new Jumbo Jet this far you can be sure that the airlines are disappointed over the new Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental as well: the airplane is quiet, fuel efficient and large - but nothing more... Since the Airbus A380 appeared in the skies you expect special effects and superlatives of luxury from a large airplane...
That's why the Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental Semi-VIP aircraft could make the legendary Jumbo Jet more attractive... This concept is the combination of an airliner with a 3-class-seating and of the popular "Global Office" model... The Semi-VIP Jumbo Jet could be arranged as follows:
a) upper deck: flight deck and first class,
b) main deck: VIP lounge, business class and economy class with SkyLoft and
c) lower deck: VIP conference and dining room, offices and bedrooms and a little cargo space...
The Semi-VIP Jumbo Jet could fly on a schedule carrying tourists and business travelers while it could also offer a temporary but representative office in the air for rent for customers who want to connect 2 major cities doing business, mostly on a regular base... So the giant Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental could serve both as a passenger jet and as a VIP airliner/shuttle for rent... The Semi-VIP configuration will be available within the scope of the Boeing InteriYours Program...

Thank You
Valued Readers,
I would like to say thank you for the over 20,000 views of my modest Blog(s) - I am amazed and dazzled and moved by your love and interest (there must be returning visitors, too)... However only the 100,000th visitor is going to get a kiss from me or from anybody in my representation...
Of course, I already wanted to say thank you to my readers but I couldn't find the words... Until I read the comment of Nathan at the RR 102 EX Microsite - you read it, too:

Perfection. The silence of a electric motor is luxury, and doesn't have any difference in how the engine will act compared to the gas powered V12 used in Rolls Royce Cars today. The electric motor will work great with the stage our earth is in, trying to be more friendly with our earth. I think that it will attract more people to encourage them to buy a Rolls Royce Motor Car. Personally i think that a car with a electric motor things run smoother, but Rolls Royce makes smooth reacting cars.

The 7 (Technical) Wonders Of The World
Ladies and Gentlemen,
As it seems some of the technical wonders of the world are going to disappear:
a) the Maybach Brand,
b) the Rolls-Royce 102 EX fully electric concept car and
c) the Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental...
"Resistance doesn't make a sense..." (Star Trek)
Well, the pyramides of Egypt used to look much better than nowadays: they were covered by white marble and they had a red marble top - a tomb couldn't be any more impressive... Then time, the elements of nature and the lack of respect destroyed their surface and now we have got as much of them as we can see...
However thousands of years later a new pyramide appeared in Paris, The City Of Lights... This glass pyramide makes the Louvre Museum a contemporary and modern building - and the glass pyramide is standing in the middle of the art collections... As if you couldn't destroy the wonders of the world...

Rolls-Royce Experimental Electric - In The RR Museum In Austria
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Now I see... Fully electric cars are perfect for the everyday usage (inside of cities and all around) - so the RR 102 EX could be the most popular Rolls-Royce of all times... However Rolls-Royce Motor Cars want to build on "rare" vehicles and surely the majestic V12-engines contribute to the unique Rolls-Royce experience... You can also celebrate the RR Phantom Series II - the reduction of fuel consumption by 10% is remarkable in case of such a huge car...

Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental - Never Getting Old
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Most recently I have been browsing the website of The Boeing Company (to be exact: newairplanes.com) and on the celebration page of the delivery of the 1st 787 Dreamliner to Japan Airlines I have discovered a very interesting picture (it was not difficult): it ethernized the delivery of the 100th Boeing 747 to JAL - as part of the glorious history of the cooperation of the 2 companies...
This was still unbelievable to me... O.k., in the past there were no Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 competing with the Boeing 747... But 100 large airplanes is an immense number... When Emirates rounded up their order for the Airbus A380 to 90 machines I thought that it was kind of a day-dream - but I was wrong because there were already orders for airliners in such a volume...
So I don't know what there is now... Either the global aviation market has shrunk significantly so that there is practically no more interest for the Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental or the Jumbo Jet of Boeing has become awkward and is banned from the most elite society of airplanes... However if the previously sold members of the Boeing 747 Family are replaced only at some part by new Jumbo Jets then The Boeing Company can expect at least 500 official orders from the renommed national airlines for the Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental...

Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental - Growing Old In Dignity
Ladies and Gentlemen,
The Boeing 747 Family looks back on a history of over 40 years and the whole concept of the Jumbo Jet is very cultivated and civilized in general: there are romantic places on the airliner, there are spectacular places on the airliner, there are contemplative places on the airliner and there are family-friendly and sociable places on the airliner, too... The Jumbo Jet is quiet, calm and secure technically...
I think with such a cultivated airplane you should service a cultivated group of passengers: namely elderly people... Elderly people also have got style, they can afford luxury and they deserve prestige... What's more they may even have a personal connection to the legendary airliner of the 1970's, the 1980's, the 1990's and of the first decade of 21st Century...
Thanks to medical science and to social achievements there are more and more elderly people all around the world compared to the whole population... Maybe they are more enthousiasted by a peaceful and barock airliner than the dynamic and wide-spread suppository of modern plastic injection moulding... You may say that elderly people want to take nitroglycerine on the airplane - and that is dangerous even in terms of a pill because what if they bite on the pill... I'm saying that seniors have already learned how to swallow their nitroglycerine...
And it must be a fact, too that elderly people attract youngsters - just because youngsters can learn and want to learn from mature personalities... So the Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental could remain the most valuable airliner on the market by appropriate marketing...
Best wishes, Joseph de la Mikula and Team

Boeing 767-8 Intercity Vs. New Concorde - Beauty Contest
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Comparing a re-engined and also in other ways updated Boeing 767 and New Concorde the outer appearance of the airplanes is interesting, too...
a) Obviously New Concorde would be much more unique, sensational and recognizable than the Boeing 767-8 Intercity...
b) The pudgy 767 is lovely while New Concorde radiates dynamics, power and intelligence...
c) The 767 makes the impression of a realistic and down-to-earth airplane while New Concorde has got to do more with dreams, ideals and superlatives...
In the age of aircraft biofuels and neutral carbon-footprints I think we need the colourful and undoubtedly elegant New Concorde more than the rather average Boeing 767-8 Intercity...

Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental - And World Peace
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I love the subject below (official press release of The Boeing Company)... I think the biofuel business could be also supported by stately subsidies...
Best wishes, Joseph de la Mikula and Team
GENEVA, March 22, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Boeing (NYSE: BA), Airbus and Embraer today signed a memorandum of understanding to work together on the development of drop-in, affordable aviation biofuels. The three leading airframe manufacturers agreed to seek collaborative opportunities to speak in unity to government, biofuel producers and other key stakeholders to support, promote and accelerate the availability of sustainable new jet fuel sources.
Boeing Commercial Airplanes President and CEO Jim Albaugh, Airbus President and CEO Tom Enders, and Embraer Commercial Aviation President Paulo Cesar Silva, signed the agreement at the Air Transport Action Group (ATAG) Aviation and Environment Summit in Geneva.
"There are times to compete and there are times to cooperate," said Jim Albaugh. "Two of the biggest threats to our industry are the price of oil and the impact of commercial air travel on our environment. By working with Airbus and Embraer on sustainable biofuels, we can accelerate their availability and reduce our industry's impacts on the planet we share."
"We've achieved a lot in the last ten years in reducing our industry's CO2 footprint - a 45 percent traffic growth with only three percent more fuel consumption," said Tom Enders. "The production and use of sustainable quantities of aviation biofuels is key to meeting our industry's ambitious CO2 reduction targets and we are helping to do this through Research and Technology our expanding network of worldwide value chains and supporting the EU commission towards its target of four percent of biofuel for aviation by 2020."
"We are all committed to take a leading role in the development of technology programs that will facilitate aviation biofuels development and actual application faster than if we were doing it independently," said Paulo Cesar Silva. "Few people know that Brazil's well known automotive biofuels program started within our aeronautical research community, back in the seventies, and we will keep on making history."
The collaboration agreement supports the industry's multi-pronged approach to continuously reduce the industry's carbon emissions. Continuous innovation, spurred by competitive market dynamics that push each manufacturer to continuously improve product performance, and air traffic modernization, are other critical elements to achieving carbon-neutral growth beyond 2020 and halving industry emissions by 2050 based on 2005 levels.
"Having these three aviation leaders set aside their competitive differences and work together in support of biofuel development, underscores the importance and focus the industry is placing on sustainable practices," said ATAG Executive Director Paul Steele. "Through these types of broad industry collaboration agreements, aviation is doing all it can to drive measurable reductions in carbon emissions, while continuing to provide strong global economic and social value."
All three companies are affiliate members of the Sustainable Aviation Fuel Users Group (www.safug.org), which includes 23 leading airlines responsible for approximately 25 percent of annual aviation fuel use. Boeing and Embraer are already collaborating on how to establish a sustainable aviation biofuels industry in Brazil and exploring new technology pathways to broaden biofuel sourcing and availability. Boeing and Airbus are also active around the globe in helping establish regional supply chains, while the three manufacturers have all supported numerous biofuel flights since global fuel standards bodies granted their approval for commercial use in 2011.
I love the subject below (official press release of The Boeing Company)... I think the biofuel business could be also supported by stately subsidies...

Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental - The World's Greenest Airplane
Ladies and Gentlemen,
2 green ideas for the Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental:
1) The Boeing Company wants the Jumbo Jet to be the greenest passenger aircraft of the world - that's why the 747 is only available with bio-fuel... Thus the carbon footprint of this otherwise giant airliner can be reduced to zero...
2) The Boeing Company wants the Jumbo Jet to represent a friendly and open USA to the world - that's why all passengers of the 747 can receive the American Green Card after 10,000 miles flown on the legendary airliner... Consider it as a membership of the Freedom Club...
Best wishes, Joseph de la Mikula and Team

21st Century - Aerodynamics And Downsizing
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Car owners very often complain about a too small luggage compartment in the rear of cars... The occurance is easy to understand: because of the aerodynamic shape of cars luggage compartments have to be relatively small...
However by 21st Century downsizing has become so common and engines so small that they could have place in the rear of aerodynamically shaped cars, too... In the front you could have place for a bigger luggage compartment - or anything else, for example a panoramic windscreen (inspired by Boeing)...

Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental - In The Air
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Many years ago I heard a very strange piece of news... According to this an airplane taxis more kilometers on airport aprons than it flies in the air - on an average...
If this is true then it is a tragedy of economy... A flight means 1,000 to 15,000 kilometers - and an airplane rolls more than this? This means that aircraft (up to USD 330 or 380 million) are hardly ever in the air...
However you can understand even this nightmare - because who has got on Earth 50 - 60 tons of jet fuel for one long-haul flight? If you quit buying the Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental then you can spare both the respectable price of the airliner and the oceans of jet fuel connected to this monster...
The real fuel consumption of a Jumbo Jet in the air can be reconned out from its power output... The power output is not the thrust but it can be reconned out from the weight of the airplane, its speed and the duration of the flight...
In other words a Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental may seem giant (and it is giant actually) but when it flies it must be lighter than air (this is a miracle of technology) - and a Jumbo Jet speeds faster than 900 km/h: it is faster than any hurricane... Of course, you also have to heat the airplane during the flight, you have to supply the air-conditioning and other electric systems with power and you have to supply the hydraulic systems with power, too - so appreciations to the busy little auxiliary power unit...
If anybody is considering to acquire a Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental after re-thinking its energy balance you can contact The Boeing Company: Boeing.com

21st Century - Learning Deep Space
Ladies and Gentlemen,
For 30 years I have been impressed by the Space Shuttle or Space Transport System... It carried up to 7 astronauts to space plus a living room plus up to 20 tons of cargo - a marvel of efficiency... And after a mission the orbiter landed as an airplane - which is very comfortable and secure again...
However the currently developed Space Launch System already seems to exceed the Space Shuttle... Its space capsule will be also able to carry up to 7 astronauts - not only in an Earth orbit but to Moon and Mars missions as well... (The Space Launch System will be able to solve the delivery of cargo into space, too by the way...) I think one of the most important differences is re-entry and landing...
Landing the Space Shuttle as an airplane from orbit on an airport runway must have been an exhausting feat of daring each time... Of course, after a long Moon mission or an even longer Mars mission you cannot expect this from anybody... That's why the tired astronauts of the new space capsule are going to splash into the ocean again and it will be the task of the earthly staff to fish them out of the rocking water...

21st Century - Learning Electric Cars
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have just realized that all fully electric cars that I know better have got a range of approx. 200 kms:
a) Rolls-Royce 102 EX: 200 kms,
b) Morgan Plus E: 190 kms and
c) Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG E-Cell: 150 kms (I guess this can be also a little longer if you don't drive like crazy)...
Now this is funny... It is for sure that car factories try to give the best to the costumers, the results are most individual - the range is common...
So I think if you want to buy a fully electric car you have to accept that it is only fit for driving in a city and all around... However these are probably the most frequented routes of car drivers - that's why fully electric cars must be fit for everyday usage...
